Our Therapy

Ashlie (she/her- cis bisexual female), is a graduate of Southern Connecticut State University where she earned her Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.  She also has her second Master’s degree & an advanced degree from Widener University in Pennsylvania in Human Sexuality Education. In addition, she is an American Association for Sexuality, Educators, Counselors, and Therapists (AASECT), Certified Sex Therapist (CST). Ashlie also works with trauma as she is EMDR trained.    

Ashlie Befus, is also an AASECT Certified Sex Therapist Supervisor (CST-S). She can take on supervisees of sex therapy, as well as MFT supervisees. As supervisor of sex therapy, similarly to her work with clients, Ashlie enjoys working with topics of LBGTQ+ populations, kink, poly/open relationships/ethical non-monogamy, and working with all relationships on sexual and relational satisfaction.

Pathways to the Heart: Sexuality, Intimacy & Relational Therapy, LLC is founded on guiding and walking with clients on their journey to healing and loving connections with one's self and others. Our goal is to use an integrated approach of therapy (such as structural, marital and sex therapy, gestalt, EMDR, etc) to best meet your needs and get you on the path you want for your life.

At Pathways to the Heart: Sexuality, Intimacy, & Relational Therapy, LLC., we work with clients of all genders, sexual orientations, and relationship statuses, from a sex positive framework. So come as you are and we look forward to departing on this path/journey together!
